Continuing Students
Students who are currently enrolled in classes and need to take a placement test must log into their UIC Portal and click the Student tab at the top of the page. The placement test portlet will appear for students to select the appropriate test and complete all necessary information before submitting the request. If approved to take the requested exam a link will appear on the placement test portlet.

Fall 2025 Deadline Dates for Completing Tests
Continuing students need to complete the test(s) prior to registering for classes. Placement tests can be taken until 3:00 pm Sunday, September 7, 2025. However, to register for a class requiring a placement test by the add/drop deadline date (September 5, 2025), you must complete all test(s) prior to the final deadline date listed below:
· Chemistry, Physics, French, German, Italian, Latin, and Russian – 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2025
· Arabic, Chinese, Computer Science, English, Korean, Japanese, Modern Greek, Polish, and Spanish – 3:00 PM Sunday, August 31, 2025
· Math – Test closes 5:00 PM Friday August 29, 2025
